Brighton based Tom Caruana has some of the best production skills I have EVER heard. For real. He is a Wizard, and very slept on. I hope to interview him sometime soon. If you happened to miss 'Black Gold', Tom's Wu-Tang Hendrix album I will forgive you as long as you cop it right.
This was my first exposure to the maestro. Upon hearing this, I quickly delved into his past projects to reward my ears and witness what I'd missed.
Two of my favorite Tea Sea Records projects are the DOOM and the DITC remix albums. In many cases, Tom's version trumps the original! The cat's got deep crates. You are gonna hear deft samples from some of the same records that cats like DJ Premier used to construct other tracks skillfully laid under ill Lord Finesse, MF DOOM, and Big L rhymes.
