Detroit rap phenom Elzhi had heads salivating
in anticipation of his long talked about 'Elmatic' project.
Elmatic was slated to be a re-imagining of
Nas's incomparable 5-mic classic Illmatic.
Thankfully, Elzhi (with dope backing band Will Sessions) does not disappoint, and has laced us with one of 2011's (or any other years) best albums.
Elzhi took no shorts and enlisted real musicians to recreate each of Illmatic's epic tracks (produced by Will Sessions).
Elzhi has never sounded better.
If you love real Hip Hop you probably already have this,
if you don't, download immediately!
Prepare to bop your head to a virtually flawless Hip Hop album.
The fact that Elzhi is currently unsigned, and a toy like Soulja Boy has major label support (unless he's been dropped after his 13k first week unit sales last debacle) speaks volumes about the priorities of the major labels.
If you want to show your support,
you can purchase a hard copy of this classic right here.
In the meanwhile, enjoy this gem and spread the word.
