STORMY WEATHER

This is a re-post for Joe D. ... .

Stormy Weather.

Thank you Frank Black.

This album is a very spiritual one for me.

I relate lots of psyche-altering life events to this fine slab of Pixie magick

This was originally posted when Hurricane Fay was supposed to come and decimate us all.

I had stocked up heavily on life's essentials- batteries, peanut butter, blueberry Vodka, and Water.

There was no World-ending storm but I did loose power for about 12 hours and drink a lot of blueberry Vodka.

Good times.

Ever since having my newly psychedelicized ears opened in '91, the Pixies have been one of my favorite bands.

The first full Pixies album I heard was 'Tr0mpe le Monde' (their final studio album). It blew me away so I went to the record stores (remember those?) and got my grubby little mitts on every single Pixies recording I could find.

Most people say 'Doolittle' is their favorite, however this is my favorite Pixies album.

It's their heaviest, darkest, and most underrated.

When the power went out, this CD was in the BoomBox.

GodSpeed.
