If you are a lover of the Exploitation Arts like myself and not familiar with PINKY VIOLENCE, prepare to have your mind blown.
PINKY VIOLENCE is a genre of sexy, action-exploitation thrillers begun in the late sixties in Japan.
These films feature female Yakuza and girl boss guerrillas battling for their freedom, seeking revenge, and generally kicking ass. Essentially, they were the original riot girls (and they actually rioted!)
This electrifying genre mixed titillation with social commentary, predating its closest American and European counterparts by several years.
These groundbreaking films continue to influence some of cinema's most celebrated directors. Their powerful influence on Directors like Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez and Takashi Miike is undeniable.
Full of delicious Japanese flowers, shocking violence, sex, and action, these are some of the most entertaining and awesome films I have ever had the pleasure of watching.
Seeing strong capable females take back what's theirs and put sleazy males in check is an added bonus for all the feminists in the house.

One of my favorite 'Pinky Violence' stars is Reiko Ike.
Reiko Ike is a force.
Beautiful and dangerous.
Not only is Reiko an ass kicking force on the screen,
she is also an accomplished singer.
