Here is a crew that deserves our financial support for fighting the majors, not selling out, and carving out it's own niche. I realize it seems hypocritical for me to say that, and then in the same post offer up one of his albums for free. But let's face it, if people want free music, there are tons of places to find it.
Enough yammering, what about the music?
To my ears, this one is a step-up from El-P's face-melting debut, 'Fantastic Damage'. The tracks are still big and dirty, but somehow a little more cohesive. A motley crew of characters make guest appearences here including Chan Marshall, Trent Reznor, and the Mars Volta (!), along with usual suspects Cage, Mr. Lif, and Aesop Rock.
Although I don't always love El-P's music, it's hard to deny his ambition and vision. There are some killer tracks on this one though, check it out.
